Just in case you missed them, here are the top five posts from August.
"Gluten Free Fried Brown Rice Recipe" Fried Brown Rice is one of our favorites because it’s yummy and it’s quick. We never have leftovers when I make this, so when my coworkers see that I’m eating a sandwich, they now comment “You must have made fried rice last night.” “Yes,” I reply, as I once again resolve to make twice as much next time. It wouldn’t matter though, we’d still eat it all!
"How to Cook Brown Rice: The Experiment" Featuring my successful and not so successful experiment with cooking brown rice. I did find a great method though, so check out the recipe at the end of the post.
"Savory Sage Corn Cakes Recipe" Hurry and try this one while there is still fresh corn at the farmer’s market.
"Egg Series No. 1: How to Crack and Separate an Egg" This is the first post in a series of three. Once you’ve learned how to crack and separate an egg, check out the second and third posts to find out how to make Forgotten Cookies and Crème Brûlée.
"Nana’s Texas Spaghetti" Nana’s Spaghetti is a regular on our dinner table. We had it again just this week. After John read this post he told me that he remembered visiting other kids’ houses and eating spaghetti there and thinking how “blah” it was compared to Nana’s.
My favorite recipes from August were "Gluten Free Eggplant Parmigiana Recipe" and "Gluten Free Garlic & Cheese Biscuits". John’s favorites were these plus "Nana’s Texas Spaghetti" and "Gluten Free Southern Fried Okra".
