Free Menu Plan
Jul 19th, 2008 by Mary Frances
Every now and then, I am inspired to jot down a new menu plan as a sort of “thank you” to all my wonderful readers. The menu plans include recipes for six meals and a shopping list. All of the menu plans are released via email, so sign up below if you’d like to be on the mailing list.
Any menu plans that have been released to date will be sent to you by email on a weekly basis until you’ve received them all. After that, you’ll only get emails when I release new menu plans.
Hi, Great - it’s been a tough summer. Recently family diagnosis with my foster child (ceoliac). Our nephew visits often & he has nut allergy.
Thank you for the menu planning. We went to purchase a cook book it was over 150.00!
@Darver: 150?!? Wow. There’s definitely no need for that when you have all the great gluten free blogs.
Am sure that Darver is referring to Karen Robertson’s Gluten Free Cookbook. It is now out of circulation and Amazon lists it for $148. You can sometimes get it through your local library. Our library carries a very well used copy that has obviously been photocopied by many folks who are keeping it in circulation for all of us. It is actually a very good cookbook, but many of the recipes can be obtained on-line and as Mary Frances points out, there are lots of other great resources for the gluten free cook that are free of charge. We share the gluten free/nut free dilemma which can often be problematic as many mixes use nut flours as a substitute for wheat flour. Am looking forward to the Free Menu Plans!
I would be more interested if some of the recipes had meat, for those of us who are not vegetarian.

Hi Mary Frances,
What a wonderful service you are providing the gluten-free community with your blog. The recipes look great, and I’ll be trying out the gluten-free sandwich bread. I teach gluten-free cooking classes in Oregon, and the response has been surprising and rewarding. I teach them at a local community center that has a commercial kitchen where they re-heat but don’t actually prepare meals-on-wheels, so it’s perfect - no gluten contamination. Is there a specific way to submit recipes? Anything special you are looking for? Let me know. By the way, I live about 5 miles from the Bob’s Red Mill facility, which is in Milwaukie, Oregon. You can go there for lunch, and they also offer some gluten-free cooking classes there occasionally. Their packaged mixes aren’t cheap, but the bulk section is awesome, and I wish you could take advantage of it.

This site is amazing…My daughter has UC/Crohn’s Disease, and I have IBD as well. We both need to be Gluten Free, Casein Free, and Vegan. Fish is OK for the Omegas. This is all new to us, we were gluten free for a while once before, but the new restrictions of being meatless and casein free in addition to the no gluten seem to make it much harder to plan meals for luch at school and work. Eating at home should be fine, but outside seems like it will be very difficult. We need ideas for easy meatless. milkless, gluten free healthy meals for school/work to go luch. Please help and Thanks!
I have been a vegetarian for almost 10 years now as well as dairy free. I have always had terrible stomach and digestive problems and doctors have not been able to figure it out, but i was told to now go gluten-free. so far it has made a huge difference, but liek others have said it is difficult to come up with meal plans. Thank you very much for this! It has been making my transition much easier
Thank you so much for this site! I have gluten intolerance and am again having to abstain and watch my diet. Thankfully, it’s not as serious as those of you with Celiac, but still gives me many uncomfortable problems.
Thanks!
Your site has given me tons of easy, delicious recipes
@Sarah: I’m so glad it’s helped! I’m working on another free menu plan this week.
