Yes, people will like Pamela's bread mix. I did, too BUT do the math on the very high amount to sweetener in this mix. 9 grams per slice (based on their stated 16 slices per loaf)! This is 144 grams for the loaf which comes to 1 1/4 cups of sweetener. As you know that's 15 tablespoons in the mix (approximately) so compare that to your favorite recipes. I see no one else coming even close this in mixes or recipes. I can't think of any reason they are doing this except for taste. Just a heads up since we need to be cutting back on sugars not ramping up.

Jennifer,
Hmmm, I never used it to make bread (I loved Gluten Free Pantry too much) and I don't use a breadmaker. I suspect it might need a lower temp at a longer cook time, but I don't know if that's adjustable on breadmakers. I used this for scones, quickbreads, sweetbreads, and some of those less "dense", less thick types of stuff. Good luck!

Donna and/or Mary Frances,

I have been making bread with your all purpose mix in the Oster breadmaker for a while now. I decided to try the Pamela's mix and kept the rest of the recipe the same. I used the 8o minute setting but when I went to cut it...it wasn't baked all the way. Any ideas?

This is my favorite mix to substitute in all my favorite recipes and I haven't found anyone who doesn't like the taste.
I plan on recommending it to all my newly gluten-free clients. And buying Pamela's Baking Mix in bulk through Amazon is the way to go. Make sure to use the Subscribe and Save method if you think you'll be purchasing it as often as I did. (for more info, see http://www.ehow.com/how_4555541_using-amazons-subscribe-save-program.html )
