This just mean I actually do read via the entire piece of writing of yours and also that ended up pretty great except because I’m just a picture learner

@Frances: Thanks for the delicious recipe. I quadrupled it and added nearly 2 qts of home-made soy milk. All the nice vitamin water the got set aside to boil pasta. (It should be interesting with carrot soup for gravy!)

@Steve: no draining required - the 2 c. of water is basically the broth for the soup and allows you to get a thin consistency when you puree everything.

Should the carrots be drained from any remaining water before mashing??? Someone, anyone. They're boiling now.

Kate, I'd love to hear what he thinks. I used to hate carrots, but this soup I can do =)

Carrie, I think it would be great with pumpkin. I'm sure I'll get around to that at some point this winter because for some odd reason I love cooking huge winter squash! I would love for you to add me to your blogroll. Thanks!

Besides its lovely seasonal appeal with the colors and flavors, this soup turned out to be just the right touch for that Fall lunch you served us :-) Great recipe, Mary Frances.
I love your new top border for the blog page, too -- the colors and resolution of the photo are wonderful. It's just so celebratory of the new season.
